About Wolf Pond Stables and Claudia Wheeler-Anthoine proprietor

Claudia Wheeler-Anthoine, proprietor and program manager of Wolf Pond Stables has over 30 years experience in the field of horsemanship instruction. She has extensive knowledge in the fields of large and small animal care, animal nutrition and maintenance, equine/animal Reiki, and just 'good ol' horse sense.'

Prior to devoting herself solely to equine affairs, her professional background as a Animal Science Technician/educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center in Yaphank, New York, brought her well prepared for the rigors of wilderness life in the Southern Adirondacks.

In addition to owning and operating boarding facilities, her experience as a 4-H instructor and special needs riding instructor to developmentally challenged children makes her especially qualified for her present position, also with lots of help from her husband Robert Anthoine.
